Bio-sketch
Dr. Rabi Mahapatra is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University. He was a faculty at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India and a Faculty Fellow at IBM T.J Watson Research Center, USA. His principal areas of research are Embedded Systems, Systems on Chip, Low-power system design, and Data Analytic Codesign. Dr. Mahapatra serves as the Chair of Graduation Admission in CSE Department and he directs the Embedded System Research Group at Texas A&M University. He served in the Editorial boards of ACM Transactions on Embedded Computing, IEEE Transactions on Parallel Distributed Systems, and EUROSIP Journal on Embedded Systems. He has published three books and more than 200 research articles in the refereed International Journals and Conference Proceedings. He has supervised 20 PhD dissertations, 32 MS thesis. Dr. Rabi Mahapatra is a Ford Fellow, BOYS-CAST Fellow, Senior-Member IEEE Computer Society, and was a Distinguished Visitor of IEEE Computer Society. Dr. Mahapatra received Best Paper Award in 2018 and Undergraduate Teaching Excellence award in 2010.
